While watching Braveheart (the TV edited version on TV)…
Me: Man, I want to go to Scotland soooooo badly. (You have to understand. I have wanted to experience Scotland ever since I was a small child.)
Youngest son: Why?
Me: Bagpipes, men in kilts, that drop-dead gorgeous scenery…what’s not to love?
Seventeen-year-old son: Haggis?
He has a point…

I’ve tasted worse things than Haggis. Maybe it was that it didn’t taste as bad as I thought
Because the only things I can think of that are worse are things I’ve refursed to try…
And I’m with you on Scotland. Top on my list of places to visit.

Oooooh! I would love to go to Scotland. Maybe we could plan a choir tour for there, and then we can go together! Yeah, you’re right they would NEVER let us do that! It would be fun though!
Never had or ever desire haggis though. YUCK! Although I have had raccoon, squirrel, and wild rabbit Not so good.

Mommom–sometimes the actual thought is worse than the taste. Two cases in point: beef tongue, foie gras.
a.men–It would be fun! But you’re right, they would never let us do that. *sigh* You got me on the raccoon and squirrel, but I have had wild rabbit, sage hen and bear.

Haggis is delicious.
Just like any other dish there are good preparers and bad. When done well, haggis is delicious.
So there.

I had to have you explain Haggis to me—I thought it was some ugly guy from the Harry Potter books.
I love that movie…it’s one of our favorites in our dvd library.
