The funny thing is she explained the not turning out part with the fact that all the girls in her group “were so blonde!” And I just looked at her (you know, after the German Waffle comment) and shook my head.

Hmm. Apparently I’m one of the blonde ones. I didn’t know there were German pancakes or waffles.
I’m a good cook, but I would have failed junior high home ec.

Welcome Nouveau Riche. I honestly had never heard of either until college either. Who knew Utah public schools were so international? I never got past basic chocolate pudding in my home ec. class.
