this morning i was trying awfully hard to convince my ten-year-old to do something for me.
just a tiny little thing.
i got up close and personal with him and looked him in the eye and asked
“please?”
i mustered up my best puppy dog eyes and asked him again
“pretty please?”
yeah, like that. only with both eyes.
he looked me in the eye right back and said
i’m sorry but that face just isn’t doin’ it for me!

Gotta love 10 year old boys! I’m kind of sad mine is turning 11 and moving on next week – it goes so quickly.
