Cream, fruit, savory, I’ll take them all.

I’m thankful that through the miracle of the internet I can still throw in my two cents’ worth even when I show up late for the party.

I’m thankful to have finally found a lotion that keeps my skin from getting sore, even if it doesn’t smell that great.

I’m thankful Helen cancelled our Master Gardener study group today because there’s no way in heck my car’s going to make it up an unplowed road in the foothills of Spanish Fork.

I grew up with too many pies, so I’m not really a pie fan, but, Holy Cow that picture looks delicious! I always loved sour cream blueberry, but that lemon looks mighty tasty. We have pumpkin crisp at our house.

I’m thankful for my house.

We have fruit pies, but a cream pie has been known to sneak into the mix. Generally, Thanksgiving=fruit pies and the rest of the year celebrations=cream pie (or lemon meringue.)

Salad is a complete waste of table space. Mostly fruit pies, but we’ll have a cream pie if someone needs it on the menu.

both cream and fruit pies in abundance and NO green salad. Lots of rolls, corn, turkey, mashed potatoes (sweet and white) gravy with the turkey drippings for a delectable flavor, and pistachio salad (yes I know it’s green but not leafy), and a relish tray for munching.

Mmmmmm.

Drat! I should’ve made your pie – that’s what was missing. I especially love your gingersnap crust. We had caramel pumpkin and a chocolate custard pie. And now I’m blissed out on carbs.

Cream pies!!

I am thankful for my husband’s safety in his dangerous job.

I am thankful for my destructo-monster who sometimes morphs into a regular cute little toddler who likes to cuddle.

I am thankful that I get to come HOME tomorrow for the first time in almost a year!!

and I am SO thankful for my wonderful sister who invited us over on top of the guests she’s already got so I don’t have to cook anything besides the sweet potatoes.

I’m thankful that I got to meet you through blogging and for the thoughtful posts you write.

I’m thankful that all the cooking will be over in a few hours–which means we’ll finally get to eat that delicious meal!

I’m thankful for all the other stuff, too. Family, friends, a warm home, cars to drive, food on the table, etc.

And I’m really thankful for pies. Even though they aren’t my favorite dessert…they are growing on me. And while we’re on the topic: BOTH. At least we’re having both. Mincemeat, Oatmeal Pecan, Whipped Lemon Curd, and Caramel Pumpkin. (There’s fruit in the mincemeat, see?)
